As part of the trip, we helped locals (and the University of Florida) by catching and tagging crocodiles on the New River to monitor the crocodile population and health. This male is about five years old and just over three feet long. Our adventure started at about 7:30pm as we hunted the marshland on an airboat. Super fun! We stayed at the Lamanai Outpost Lodge and enjoyed the company of Howler Monkeys, Mexican Porcupines and several Toucans.
